The completed page is up(!!!), though it is not completed (lol). It looks pretty messed up right now, which I believe is due to the CSS not having fully loaded yet, so if a few hours pass and things haven't fixed themselves, I might end up taking the page down while I figure out what's wrong with it. I also still need to 1) edit and add a majority of the entries' images, so ignore the Papillon placeholder image in the meantime, 2) add links to English publishers and/or sites to read each series on, and 3) figure out how I want to incorporate a little review/thoughts section for each series. I'll probably work on this in tandem with my "completing" page. I also want to write something for the blog! I've been sitting on a few ideas for a while now, but I haven't really been taken with something so concrete yet. I'll figure something out. As always, I hope you enjoy if you check it out.

What else? Happy Pride! I'm still on my Touhou doujin music kick — I've been listening to nothing but ShibayanRecords for the past few days. I saw Tekkonkinkreet's 20th anniversary remaster in theaters with a friend yesterday and had a blast, even if I thought the story pacing and transitions were rather jarring. I'd say that's pretty par for the course when it comes to manga-into-film adaptations, though. Kamiina Botan is still incredible. Please watch Kamiina Botan.

My yuri shopping list is up! It was a very tedious process to get this done, but all of the other pages I'm working on are exceptionally more so, so I find I can't really complain too much. Very excited to keep working on and sharing this project, even if only one person ever takes an interest in it. Hello, if you are that one person!

I started watching Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk a few days ago and I am veritably obsessed with it. I don't usually keep up with anime seasonally, but I'm kicking myself for not starting it when it first began airing! Even though I've had it logged to watch on MAL for months!!! It's a CGDCT/travelogue/deepdive-into-the-mangaka's-niche-interest with a visual feast of gorgeous animation and direction, and a lot of playfulness when it comes to stylistic experimentation. I highly recommend it. Actually, once I finish writing this up, I'm probably going to go finish watching all the episodes that are currently out (and bookmark the manga on Dynasty Scans, and peruse the Aniplex merch store, and contemplate whether I should drop $75 + whatever evil proxy shipping I will have to pay on the Japanese Blu-ray when it releases in July, and and and).

I'm starting to think that this homepage layout is kinda ugly...

Very excited to say that some yuriful things are starting to happen here!!! :D I've just uploaded the homepage of my yuri catch-all site, which is directly linked to "animanga" through "media" in the navigation bar. This will probably be the most active part of the site as a whole. I wish I had more to say at the moment, but I am very very tired. Good night! More updates will be coming soon!!

The semester is over and I am free!!! Not very excited to see my grades when they get posted, but oh well...

I've directly linked a school project I did on illuminated manuscripts to "archive" in the navigation bar. It really has nothing to do with the rest of this site, but since I'm hosting the thing on here I figured I may as well share it. I've also added a few more books to the library. That's all for now.

I've added the first and so far only page to my book section, which can be accessed through "media" in the navigation bar. Digitally cataloging my physical library was the whole reason I picked up HTML in the first place. It looks kind of ugly right now, which is fine for practicality's sake, but I plan on sprucing it up as soon as this school semester is over, especially because a lot of the cover pictures I used need to be replaced. I tried being as accurate with the editions as possible, but some of the pictures I found suck really bad or don't exist at all. And a lot of the Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE ones just, like, vanished overnight?? So. I'll probably end up scanning or photographing my own copies. Also, while the manga and light novel shelves are done, I need to finish adding about 90% of my novels and figure out how I want to display a "favorites" shelf. The fact that this definitely won't be the final iteration of this page makes me hesitate to even worry about that latter point, but it's something to think about.

(Aside: This whole project has made me realize that I have collected a lot of terrible books over the years lol. The fact that younger me once spent real actual money on The Inheritance Games and Once & Future makes me shudder, but I consider that all the more reason to hold on to them. I refuse to offload a single book in my collection.)

"ガラナ" by Sukima Switch has had some pretty heavy airtime for me through this process (and finals). I feel like no matter which corner of their discography I explore, I find something so heady it's as though I've been injected with the most cracked dosage of cocaine to ever exist on planet earth. (Favorite band potential? Is the Brian the Sun run over?) "Golden Time Lover", "Saa" by SURFACE, "Always on My Hand" by Psychic Lover, and "瞬発的に恋しよう/Sudden Spark" by Okamura Yasuyuki and Nakamura Kento have also been in the rotation, albeit to a lesser extent. And no, I have not (yet!) seen any of the anime attached to them.

Also, just as a side note, I have no plans as of right now to make this site mobile-friendly because I hate my phone.

Welcome! I know things are looking a bit barebones right now, but I hope to add some more stuff here soon, at least so it doesn't look so garishly empty. I coded this with a 1920x1200 resolution and 1280x631 viewport, so I apologize if things look a bit funky for you. My highest priority right now is to get the navigation links up and running. I also need to figure out what I want to do with this big space here, in which sit the words you are currently reading. Should I scrap my separate diary page and just put those entries here? Should I post site updates? Previews of new entries from other pages? I'll figure something out. I had pasted here chunks of a Perdido Street Station review I had written while working out the layout, just to have some sense of what the space would look like filled with text, and I didn't particularly hate that. Content like that, I mean. I could add my Voyage of the Space Beagle writeup, too, for now, if I wanted to pad this section out. I don't know if I really want them on this main page in full, though...

Anyway. The main reason I'm getting started with this is because of a school project that will hopefully become an addendum to the site. I don't know what shape or form it will take on (besides the fact that it will, of course, be some sort of webpage), but that's the goal. We WILL be passing all of our classes this semester.

What else can I say to fill up some space here? I've been listening to a lot of Touhou doujin albums lately, despite never having played a lick of any of the games. I've been especially enjoying ADAMANT HEART and the bright, elevated elevator stuff put out by Attrielectrock on their Cafe Chic albums. In a similar vein (to me only, probably), "RRRepeat!!!" by GYARI has also, (un)ironically, been on repeat for me for a while now. I enjoyed Perdido Street Station and found myself made shockingly and intensely ill by the big reveal at the end. I'm glad the weather is finally starting to warm up. I should probably learn Javascript. I should definitely catch up with One Piece. Will I ever find a good enough quote to put over there on the right? My odds are not looking good. And I should probably go sleep.

Thank you, reader, if there is even a reader here at all. I hope you are able to stop by again sometime! :)
